Beautiful Girlhood ~ M. Hale & Karen Andreola

I honestly could not put this book down. This is a wonderful book for helping young girls blossom into godly young women.

Some chapters and their goals:

Watch your Tongue!
This chapter is an excellent reminder especially to older girls with younger siblings, to be so careful about what you allow to escape your mouth. The author continues by expounding on how a young woman is defined by her spoken words. Those words spoken to strangers and when meeting new people, it is by those that that person forms an opinion based on the mood of the words. Andreola tells how the reader can form good speaking habits that will stay for life.

Dreams
This chapter is especially crucial to the blossoming woman whose thoughts can take so many different directions. Without knowing it, our dreams of romance, fantasy, the future, our future husband etc. have a big place in the building of our character. "Dream, but let the dreams be of usefulness and service, of purity and truth."

An Accomplished Girl
The world's idea of an accomplished woman and God's are at opposite ends of the spectrum. This chapter discusses all the different accomplishments a young girl should have. The author supports stay at home girls and admonishes them to learn early the tasks of the home.

Violence- None
Indecency- None But there is a chapter discussing boyfriends and fellowshipping with young men. The author does not support dating, but leans toward letting your father be your protector and aiding in the decision of a life partner.
Language- None
Age interest- 12-15
My Rating: 5 out of 5
